Job summary

AUTOKINITON is seeking a Press Maintenance Technician on 2nd shift for our Greenville, SC facility. You will maintain tool & die and pressroom equipment, troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical components to keep production running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in manufacturing, knowledge of stamping presses, and strong problem-solving skills. This hourly role reports to the Tool & Die Supervisor and offers relocation assistance and

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical field or high school diploma with 2+ years manufacturing experience.
• Experience with stamping presses up to 2000 tons and coil feeding equipment.
• Familiar with overhead cranes and their operation.
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills (8D, 5 Whys).

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for ensuring Tool & Die and Pressroom equipment is maintained, running, and repaired as required for production.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical breakdowns using PC/PLC ladder logic.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Weld and fabricate steel as needed.
• Repair electrical components where applicable.
• Assist other tool room personnel with troubleshooting.

• Be responsible for ensuring that Tool & Die and Pressroom equipment is maintained, running, and repaired as required for production.

This hourly role is a part of our Tool & Die Team and reports to the Tool & Die Supervisor.

Required experience:

• Associate’s degree in a related technical field or High School diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years manufacturing experience.
• Experience with stamping presses up to 2000 tons, coil feeding equipment, servo transfer systems, conveyor systems.
• Familiar with overhead cranes and their operation.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills such as 8D and 5 Whys
• Excellent communication skills as evidenced in colleague relations, team skills, and have the -ability to interface directly with the customer to resolve issues
• Ability to work independently, self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to use mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic prints to troubleshoot and fix issues.
• Ability to use multimeters, hand tools, measurement tools, and power tools to troubleshoot and fix.
