Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Platte Gardens is seeking a Machine Repair/Maintenance Technician to inspect, install, and repair production machinery and tooling in the tool room. The role requires reading mechanical prints, basic hydraulics and pneumatics, and troubleshooting electrical issues with a meter.

You will perform preventive maintenance, complete Plex work orders, and drive continuous improvement to boost production efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Machine Repair experience.
  • Pneumatics and Hydraulics experience.
  • Basic understanding of Press controls and processes.
  • Basic understanding of common tool room equipment such as milling machines, drill presses, lathes.

Responsibilities

  • Follow specified maintenance procedures to install, maintain, and repair production machinery and tools.
  • Utilize Plex to document appropriate downtime codes.
  • Electrically troubleshoot issues using a meter (level I certification).
  • Read and interpret mechanical prints for troubleshooting.
  • Proactively participate in continuous improvement efforts and drive process, tooling, and equipment enhancements.
  • Complete and manage work orders via the Plex systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and provide input on updates to schedules.
