Job summary

Moore Tulsa Digital Print and Mail Center is seeking a Web Press Helper to support the commercial team with setup, loading materials, and basic maintenance on the press. The role focuses on producing high-quality printed materials in accordance with daily schedules and client specs.

Ideal candidates have a High school diploma and some production experience; ability to read tickets and operate hand tools is important. Flexibility for overtime and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand job tickets, layout sheets, artwork and specs.
• Previous printing/press experience on a sheet-fed press encouraged.
• Must be able to operate basic hand tools.
• Familiar with printing presses and related equipment.

Moore- ResourceOne Division is currently looking for a Web Press Helper in our commercial Team.

Job Summary

The responsibility of the press helper is to follow the instructions of the assistant and operator to learn the proceeds to produce high quality printed materials, according to the daily production schedules and client specifications.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist the printing press operator in setting up and running the press
• Load and unload paper, ink, and other materials onto the press
• Perform routine maintenance on the press
• Mount printing plates to press cylinders.
• Ensure that the printed materials meet quality standards
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Performs tasks within acceptable limits for quality, quantity, sanitation and timeliness of completion, paying particular attention to prevent and eliminate costly errors.
• Checks and inspects material received from prior operations to verify accuracy and conformance to customer's specifications.
• Prepares make-ready for upcoming jobs such as staging material for upcoming jobs
• Learns basic machine operation.
• Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned press and surrounding area
• Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
• Good attendance is a MUST
• All other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in production environment a plus

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs at times
• Required to bend, reach, and move about the facility
• Required to stand for long periods of time, bend, reach and move about the facility

Must be authorized to work in the United States and successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background investigation.
