Graphic Packaging International is seeking a Press Technician to join our team. You will prepare rolls for printing, ensure ink and plates are ready for the Press Operator, and help maintain a safe, clean work area.
The position features 12-hour shifts, a starting wage of $20.65 per hour, a $1.15/hour night shift differential, and a $1,500 retention bonus for new hires and qualifying rehires. On-the-job training is provided.

Role: Press Technician

Description:
Prepare rolls for printing and ensure ink and printing plates are ready for the Press Operator to use. Duties also include: keeping the area clean, assisting the Press Operator with changeovers, working in a safe manner, and obeying all safety rules. Understand and align business operations through execution of the role, exceeding customer expectations and aligning with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.

Mops, knives, printing shafts, printing cylinders, printing plates, parts cleaning tank, pneumatic hoses, ice blaster
EDUCATION PREFERRED:
High School Diploma or GED
TRAINING PROVIDED:
On the job training provided by a trained Press Technician
Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor
TIME OF OPERATION:
12 Hour shifts working alternately (36) and (48) hour weeks with four (15) minute breaks and one (25) minute lunch. A/B shifts work from 7 am to 7 pm. C/D shifts work from 7 pm to 7 am.
Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
