Job summary

The D. E. Shaw Group in New York seeks a detail-oriented associate for the Media Communications team. You will help manage press engagements, participate in industry conferences, and collaborate with stakeholders across the firm to promote and protect our brand.

You will support external initiatives, refine communications processes, and contribute to strategy with strong written and verbal communication as core requirements for success in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 1–3 years in communications or operations.
• Experience at a PR agency and/or in the financial industry is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage processes and projects for the Media Communications team related to press engagements and industry conferences.
• Coordinate with internal groups and external parties to advance initiatives that promote and protect the firm’s brand.
• Help drive media monitoring and develop materials for external speaking or press opportunities.
