Louis Industries, Inc. in Minnesota seeks a reliable Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain production equipment in a fast-paced metal fabrication environment.

You’ll handle press brakes, shears, cranes, forklifts and related tooling, follow safety standards, log work in the ERP system, and contribute to continuous improvement while producing high-quality parts to print specifications.

Qualifications

• Certified forklift operator preferred.
• Certified crane operator preferred.
• Ability to safely and effectively operate equipment and hand tools.
• Knowledge of inventory control and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and inspection requirements.
• Proficient with mathematical equations.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production equipment including Press Brake, Shear, Ironworker, Saw and more.
• Manage time to operate several machines during a shift.
• Safely operate forklift to load/unload material.
• Safely operate overhead crane and jib crane to move material.
• Handle assorted steel raw material and steel scrap.
• Maintain work area and production equipment in clean and orderly condition.
• Perform work to ensure products meet prescribed quality standards.
• Log jobs and parts in ERP system.
