Job description

Chief Buildings is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Slitter Operator to join the Chief team. The Press Brake Slitter Operator will work in a manufacturing setting, often standing for long periods and handling heavy materials. Safety protocols must be strictly followed to ensure a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating press brake machines and slitter equipment, ensuring precision and efficiency in the production process.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Safety is a relentless journey at Chief Buildings. Candidates must follow proven safety practices.
  • Set up and operate press brake and slitter machines to produce parts and components according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
  • Ensure the accuracy of measurements using tape measures, micrometers, and protractors to maintain high-quality standards. Capable of converting fractions to decimals, decimals to fractions.
  • Safely handle and transport materials using an overhead crane.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and meet deadlines.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Press Brake Slitter Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Shift:
  • 1st Shift – 6:00am – 4:30pm
  • 2nd Shift – 4:30pm – 3:00am
