Job description

Spectrum Metalcraft, a leader in precision metal fabrication, is currently looking to hire a Press Brake Operator for our Fabrication Department in Salina, KS. We are looking for a mechanically minded individual who takes pride in producing high-quality work and thrives in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and assemble structural metal products according to job orders, blueprints, and verbal instructions.
  • Perform set-up, operation, and program editing on Press Brake Machines of varying sizes.
  • Select and install press brake punch and die tools based on project specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings with a strong understanding of fabrication standards.
  • Utilize computer input devices to enter or adjust machine settings.
  • Ensure work meets quality and productivity standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and production goals.

This position requires working fixed days Monday - Thursday from 6am until 4:30pm with the possibility of overtime if required on Fridays.

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

  • Mechanically inclined with experience in metal fabrication.
  • Knowledge of press brake tools, setup procedures, and forming techniques is preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings accurately.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings comfortably.
  • Comfortable using a computer keyboard for machine operation and editing programs.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality
