Job Purpose

Responsible for bending and shaping metal plates and sheets according to specifications and blueprints, ensuring products meet quality standards and customer requirements, while maintaining safety and efficiency in production.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines for bending and shaping metal.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and schedules to determine specifications.
• Select appropriate tooling, dies, and machine settings for each task.
• Position and align metal sheets accurately on the machine.
• Adjust machine settings to ensure precise bending.
• Monitor machine operation, making adjustments as needed.
• Inspect finished products for quality and specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Troubleshoot minor issues or escalate to maintenance.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2+ years of experience with press brake machines in manufacturing or metal fabrication.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and inspection techniques.
• Willingness to undergo training and stay updated with new technologies.
• Ability to communicate effectively, stay organized, and operate measurement tools.
• Preferred: crane and forklift experience.
• Ability to work under pressure, independently, and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, judgment, reliability, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Technical degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5+ years of progressive experience as a press brake operator.

Working Conditions

Travel up to 10% for meetings, deliveries, training, and conferences.
