Job description

General Devices is looking for a motivated individual to begin a career in precision sheet metal fabrication. This is an entry-level training position where you will learn to operate press brake machines used to form metal parts for electronic equipment and industrial products.

No previous press brake experience is required; we will train the right candidate.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, mechanical problem solving, and building real products. Press brake operation is a highly marketable manufacturing skill, and many of our skilled operators and team leaders started in this position and developed their careers here.

Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Typical starting pay: $18 – $22 per hour depending on experience.

What You Will Do
  • Assist experienced operators in running press brake machines.
  • Load and unload sheet metal parts from machines.
  • Learn how to read job travelers and basic prints.
  • Use measuring tools such as tape measures, gauges, and calipers.
  • Inspect parts for quality and accuracy.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow all safety rules and company policies.
  • Gradually learn press brake setup and operation through hands‑on training.
