Operators will handle multiple presses including power presses and swaging equipment, perform quality checks with micrometers, and assistLaser operator with material handling. The position offers full benefits and 401K with company match.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of press brake experience.
• Able to perform preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.
• Able to lift 40–50 lb.
• Knowledge of machine operation for Press Brake/Saw/Shear/Small Drill.

Responsibilities

• Set stops on machine bed and adjust dies for multiple passes.
• Operate brake press, saw, shear, or small drill according to specs.
• Install, align, and secure gears, dies, and fixtures using gauges and tools.
• Inspect parts for defects and verify dimensions with micrometer and tape measure.
• Assist Laser operator with material handling when needed.
• Load/Unload material and segregate scrap to designated area.
• Maintain attendance and safety practices.

Dakota Bodies is seeking experienced Brake Press Operators! 1st and 2nd shift available; 2nd shift receives shift premium pay!Job Duties and TasksSets stops on machine bed, changes die, and adjusts components, such as ram or power press, when making multiple or successive passes.Operates power press, power brake, apron brake, swaging machine, foot-powered press, hydraulic press, or arbor press according to specifications.Installs, aligns, and secures gears, holding fixtures, dies to machine bed, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools.Plans sequence of operations, applying knowledge of physical properties of metal.Inspects workpiece for defects.Measures workpiece and verifies dimensions and weight, using micrometer, template, straightedge, and scale.Selects and positions flat, block, radius, or special purpose die sets into ram and bed of machine, using hoist, crane, measuring instruments and hand tools including tape measure.Possess knowledge in forklift operations up to 6,000lb lift.Separates materials and organizes materials on pallets.Identify parts and placements of said parts on correct pallets or workstations.Assist Laser operator in material handling operations.
