Job summary

Expect to participate in safety programs and maintain accurate job records. Preferred candidates will have prior experience with press brakes, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass drug screening or background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Material handling and inventory management for fabrication materials.
• Operate hand and power tools, saws, drills, and grinders per specifications.
• Assist with assembly of metal parts according to blueprints or drawings.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and safe.
• Assist with cutting, bending, welding, or shaping materials under supervision.
• Follow safety protocols and report hazards promptly.
• Inspect materials and finished products for quality and documentation of progress.

Job Impulse, Inc. has an opening for a Press Brake in Wellford, SC. Our client is a Tool Making Company.
Schedule - 2nd Shift - Monday-Thursday, 3pm-1am

Responsibilities of a Press Brake includes:

• Material Handling: Assist in the receipt, storage, and inventory management of materials, ensuring proper organization and accessibility for fabrication.
• Tool and Equipment Operation: Use hand tools, power tools, saws, drills, grinders, and other equipment to prepare materials for fabrication or assembly.
• Assembly Support: Assist skilled workers in assembling metal parts or products according to blueprints, drawings, or specifications.
• Machine Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of tools, machines, and work areas to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Cutting and Shaping Materials: Assist with cutting, bending, welding, or shaping materials using various fabrication techniques, under the guidance of senior fabricators or supervisors.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. Report hazards or unsafe conditions promptly.
• Quality Control: Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, report any defects or issues to the supervisor.
• Documentation: Assist in keeping accurate records of materials used, inventory levels, and job progress, as directed by supervisors.

Job Requirements of a Press Brake

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs or more as required.
• Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment safely.

REQUIRED Experience and Education

Experience using Press Brakes is a REQUIRED!!!!

High School Diploma or GED required
