Doyle Manufacturing in Palmyra, MO is seeking a skilled press brake operator to set up and operate a press brake, bending sheet metal to exact shapes while selecting tools and feeding stock for accurate results.

You will analyze blueprints, adjust settings, calibrate for precise bends, program the machine, measure parts, inspect materials, restock supplies, and perform routine maintenance to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Purpose of Job

A press brake operator is a skilled technician who operates a press brake machine used in the metal fabrication to bend sheet metal to the desired shape and angle. Operators are responsible for setting up the machine, selecting the appropriate tools and feeding the metal into the machine to create the desired shape. Precision and accuracy are vital in this role.

Role And Responsibilities

• Analyzing blueprints from designers and engineers
• Load and unload materials
• Setup and adjust machine settings to specific requirements.
• Calibrate the equipment to achieve the desired bending specifications.
• Programing your machine to fit the design.
• Measuring the final product to ensure uniformity.
• Inspecting materials to verify specifications and quality standards.
• Restocking materials
• Performing routine maintenance on machines
• All other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

Typically working in a manufacturing environment. Will at times be exposed to heat, cold, inclement weather, noise, vibration, welding sparks, grease, oil, and diesel fuel. Will often be required to stand for extended periods of time while working in a fast-paced environment, especially when working with tight deadlines.
