We are currently recruiting a Press Brake Operator (1st Shift) at our Vollrath Co. Newport, MN location. The city of Newport is located in Washington County along the Mississippi River, southeast of Saint Paul.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Perform daily machine startup and shutdown procedures on Ermaksan press brake with Air Bending Technology.
• Prepare and run complex bend setups and forming operations, including custom punch/die change outs.
• Program using all features of the press brake software.
• Read and interpret shop drawings and translate flat pattern sheet metal parts into fully formed parts.
• Follow production schedules as allocated by the Manufacturing Engineer.
• Perform operator-level maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work area.
• Facilitate work-order paper flow according to company standards.
• Assist in training new hires on machine functions and company processes.
• Check parts to ensure they meet tolerance and quality standards.
• Identify process improvement areas and collaborate with engineers and shop leads to reduce costs and waste.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Minimum one year of related press brake experience.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret them.
• Understanding of machine mechanics and ability to perform precise setups and adjustments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.

Preferred:

• One year of experience in a custom fabrication shop.

Compensation:

The salary range is $49,920 - $60,320 annually, with benefits including health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, parental leave, flexible work arrangements, and more.
