Job summary

FabX Fabrication Specialists is seeking a CNC press brake operator in Columbus, OH to run a Bystronic Xpert press brake and maintain high-precision tolerances. You will read blueprints, set up tooling, and measure parts with calipers and a protractor.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and some CNC press brake exposure, with a drive to grow skills and work with a team to deliver quality parts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• CNC press brake experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret simple prints/PDFs.
• Ability to perform basic math and use measurement tools.
• Ability to work with others in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn start-up and shut down procedures for the CNC press brake.
• Operate the machine to form parts and select appropriate tooling.
• Read prints/PDFs and measure dimensions to ensure accuracy.
• Load tooling and make adjustments to maintain tight tolerances.
• Develop proficiency to run the machine independently over time.

Job description

FabX, LLC currently has an opening for a CNC press brake operator. We run fully loaded Bystronic Xpert press brakes incorporating high precision tooling and off-line programming for the overwhelming majority of our parts. First and foremost, operator will need to be driven to come to work every day and be on time. From there a knowledge of bending with an ability to read a general print or pdf, use a protractor and calipers, and read a tape measure are necessary. FabX generally works with stainless, aluminum and mild steel in the area between 22ga and .375” in thickness. We build to very tight tolerances and set our operators up to be able to attain those tolerances.
