Job summary

HW Staffing Solutions is seeking a Press Assistant in Shelton, CT. The role involves supporting Gallus RCS 430 printing press operations, delivering parts, and assisting with press setup and maintenance.

Training will begin on a first shift; the position transitions to a higher shift with pay adjustments. The candidate will work on a Monday–Thursday schedule, with training on a 6am–4pm first shift for 90 days and regular shift 4pm–2am.

Qualifications

• Experience with press environments or manufacturing is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret measurements and instructions.
• Prior related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers parts, materials, tools and supplies to Press Operators.
• Reviews press schedule and stages orders for Press Operators.
• Assists Press Operators with cleaning and set-up of printing press.
• Installs/removes print heads and unwind units and dies.
• Mounts printing plates and sharpens squeegee blades.
• Maintains production area and disposes of waste properly.
• Participates in process improvement projects.
