Job summary

CCL Label Healthcare & Specialty Buffalo is seeking a Press Assistant to work alongside experienced Press Operators, learning setup, operation, and maintenance of Gallus flexographic printing presses used to manufacture healthcare labels. You will participate in a three-module training program that advances you toward becoming a Press Operator within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge and analytical thinking are essential.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Press Operator by ensuring materials and supplies are ready.
• Help set up new jobs by installing plates, cylinders, rollers, dies and screens.
• Ensure rolls of raw material are mounted on the unwind shaft during production.
• Perform total preventive maintenance on the press and all equipment.
