Job summary

RRD is seeking a Printing and Bindery Specialist for the 3rd shift to support production operations in Wisconsin. You will prepare the press, monitor paper flow, verify job specs, and assist with maintenance tasks to ensure on-time runs.

The role requires teamwork, attention to quality, and basic tool use. Compensation is $19.00 to $22.22 per hour with a 3rd shift differential and benefits. This position offers steady hours in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a printing environment preferred.
• Some experience in operation of various hand tools preferred.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the press for a run by verifying job specs and setting up the press.
• Inspects fountain solution, inking systems, rolls of paper and related mechanisms.
• Maintains inventory of paper and records usage/spoilage on SPC report.
• Ensures that the roll of paper is unwrapped, mounted and ready to be spliced.
• Monitors the flow of paper during run; prepares and installs new roll when needed.
• Works with press operators and other Press Assistants in maintenance of the presses.
• Assists maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and repairs to the press.
• May assist with make-readies.
• May adjust ink, solvent and varnish to ensure color is correct.
• Follows safety policies including hazardous waste handling and lockout-tagout.
• Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
• Follows ISO Quality Manual processes.

Compensation Range:

19/hr to 22.22/hr

Available shifts

3rd Shift:

7:00 PM to 5:00 AM Monday-Thursday

2$/hr Shift Differential

• Prepares the press for a run by verifying job specs and setting up the press accordingly
• Inspects the fountain solution, inking systems, rolls of paper and the mechanisms related to the reels.
• Maintains proper inventory of paper. Records usage and spoilage on SPC report
• Ensures that the roll of paper is properly unwrapped, mounted and ready to be spliced
• Monitors the flow of paper throughout the run. Prepares and installs new roll when necessary
• Works in conjunction with the press operators and other assigned Press Assistants in the preventative maintenance of the presses.
• Assists maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and making repairs to press
• May assist with make-readies
• May adjust ink, solvent, and varnish to ensure that proper color is established or maintained as required by location
• Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies
• Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned
• It is the responsibility of all Solution Delivery employees to follow the requirements of their documented process as defined in the ISO Quality Manual

Qualifications

Previous experience in a printing environment preferred
Some experience in the operation of various hand tools preferred
Must be able to work in a team environment.

Additional Information

Thenational pay range for this role is $19.00-$22.22/hr. The payrange may beslightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
