Overview

Position: Press Assistant (Days)

Location: Plymouth, MN

Shift: 1st Shift: 6:00 AM-6:00 PM

Description: We are seeking a Press Assistant to support the setup and operation of an 8–10 color Flexographic Printing press. This role includes material handling, cleaning, equipment support, and assisting the Press Operator to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and operation of flexographic presses
• Load/unload rolls, print sleeves, and anilox (lift up to 75 lbs)
• Check ink viscosity; clean print stations, ink pumps, plates, and anilox
• Assemble and adjust doctor blade chambers
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping around press area
• Ensure proper labeling, organization, and machine condition
• Follow all safety protocols and directions from Press Operator

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years related experience preferred
• Ability to read/write English and follow safety procedures
• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of equipment operation
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
• Strong record-keeping, quality control, and troubleshooting skills
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced production environment
