Job Description

GBC Advanced Materials is seeking a press operator in Latrobe, PA.

• Run the assigned powder compacting presses
• Periodically inspect the parts coming off the press and make adjustments as necessary to keep them within the operational limits
• Do weight and dimensional checks on the parts produced
• Make adjustments to the press as indicated by the SPC program
• Perform visual inspections under a microscope of the parts for defects
• Unload pressed parts off the press and onto sintering trays
• Log quantities of pressed parts into the traceability program
• Load appropriate power into presses as needed during production

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to learn to use micrometers
• Ability to use a stereo microscope

Preferred Qualifications

• Attention to detail and good manual dexterity

Salary is up to $20.00 per hour, DOE
