Job summary

Arconic in Springdale, Arkansas, seeks a Press 2 Quality Inspector to join the Extrusion Team. The role involves learning EVPM, applying quality tools to minimize variation, and developing manufacturing control plans to ensure products meet customer expectations.

You will test procedures, develop, implement, and audit SOPs, and train others in quality procedures while keeping neat records and communicating across Die Shop, Die Correctors, Press Leads, and Saw Crew.

• Ability to read and interpret part drawings.
• Capable of using multiple types of measuring equipment and gauges.
• Maintain neat, accurate records of measurements.
• Follow safety and health procedures.

Responsibilities

• Learn and maintain EVPM and teach others.
• Apply quality tools to reduce process and product variation and support QC plans.
• Test product performance and procedures to predict customer expectations.
• Develop, implement, and audit manufacturing control plans and SOPs.
• Develop, communicate and train quality work instructions.
• Maintain required records and charts in an orderly fashion.
• Provide samples and feedback to Die Shop.
• Coordinate with Die Correctors, Press Leads, and Saw Crew.
• Obtain Mobile Equipment and Crane/Hoist licenses as needed.
• Follow safety requirements and operate press safely.

We strive to create a safe, inclusive, and collaborative workplace with competitive benefits, development opportunities and a culture that values and rewards employees on all levels of the organization.In this role, you will:Responsibilities as a QC Inspector will include but are not limited to:Learn and maintain EVPM (Electronic Visual Process Management) and be able to teach others.The utilization of testing techniques and the application of quality tools to the reduction of process and product variation; and to support the development of manufacturing quality control plans to ensure that products are produced to Customers’ Expectations.Testing and execution of product performance testing procedures that are predictive of what the customer and end user can expect to receive.Development, implementation, and audit of manufacturing control plans and standard operating procedures to which adherence will result in products that are produced to target.Develop, communicate and train work instructions for quality procedures.Maintain required records and charts in a neat and orderly fashion.Provide samples and documented feedback to Die Shop.Conflict Management Skills.Be able to flex to other areas of the press, saw, head stretch.Must be able to obtain Mobile Equipment and Crane / Hoist licenses.You have: (required)Employee is required to follow all safety and health requirements listed in the applicable procedures and work instructions.Capable of using multiple types of measuring equipment and gauges.Be able to read and interpret part drawings.Keep neat and accurate records of dimensions.Be able to communicate with Die Correctors, Press Leads, and Saw Crew in a positive and effective manner.Successful candidate must be able to learn how to operate Press in a safe and productive manner.Physical Demands:Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting on a regular basis;Must be able to stand in one place for extended periods of time.
