POSITION SUMMARY

The Sous Chef works closely with the Executive Chef to support all aspects of culinary operations at Presidio Golf Course. This position helps lead daily restaurant service, banquets, golf tournaments, private events, and other food and beverage operations while ensuring consistent food quality, presentation, service, sanitation, and safety standards.

The Sous Chef is a hands‑on leader who supports and develops the culinary team, assists with food preparation and menu execution, and helps maintain an organized, efficient, and professional kitchen. In the absence of the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef assumes responsibility for directing kitchen operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Executive Chef with daily culinary operations and execution of food service.

Prepare and oversee the preparation of high-quality food consistent with established recipes, presentation, and quality standards.

Support restaurant operations, banquets, golf tournaments, private events, and special functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, and perform other movements associated with commercial kitchen operations.

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work in a commercial kitchen environment with exposure to heat, cold, cleaning products, and typical kitchen equipment.
