Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
• Must be at least 21 years old at the time of application and under 40 at referral.
• Carry and use a firearm; maintaining firearm proficiency is mandatory.
• Visual acuity must meet specific standards.
• Hearing loss must not exceed set decibel levels.
• Submit to a drug test prior to appointment.
• Complete 12 weeks of intensive training and 17 weeks of specialized training.

Responsibilities

• Provide protection for The White House Complex and foreign embassies.
• Travel in support of Presidential and foreign missions.
• Enforce mandated protective responsibilities.
