What we’re looking for:

We are seeking a President of Property Management to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. As the President of Property Management at Ackermann Group, you will lead the overall performance, growth, and strategic direction of our 5,000 unit multifamily portfolio. This executive role will oversee all aspects of property operations, including leasing, marketing, maintenance, resident experience, and financial performance. Reporting directly to the COO, this individual will play a critical role in shaping our operational strategy and driving portfolio-wide success. Additional responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize operational performance and financial returns across the portfolio.
• Provide visionary leadership to regional and onsite teams, including sales, marketing, and maintenance operations.
• Establish clear goals, accountability systems, and operational standards to ensure consistent excellence across all properties.
• Drive a high-performance culture focused on resident satisfaction, employee engagement, and financial results.
• Implement scalable processes, systems, and best practices to support operational growth and efficiency.
• Partner with executive leadership and acquisitions team on investment due diligence, expansion strategy, and investment performance.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor senior-level leaders and regional managers, fostering strong leadership capabilities at all levels.
• Oversee employee training and development initiatives to ensure teams are equipped with the skills and knowledge to perform at the highest level.
• Oversee property-level budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis; ensure each asset meets or exceeds performance targets.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and safety standards.
• Stay abreast of market trends and industry innovations to maintain a competitive edge.
• Act as a trusted partner to department heads, ensuring alignment between financial strategies and operational goals.

The ideal President of Property Management will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in a business/leadership discipline, advanced degrees/certifications are a plus
• Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in property management roles
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role such as President or Vice President of Property Management, Asset Manager, etc.
• Experience in the multifamily asset class
• Proven track record of leading collaboration across organizational departments
• Must be based in, or willing to relocate to, the Cincinnati area
