We are seeking a dynamic and visionary President/CEO to lead our organization, as well as inspire staff and volunteers, and make sure the people we serve receive the highest quality programs and care. This role demands an energetic leader who excels in collaboration with board members, managing high-performing teams, and driving operational excellence across all departments. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in strategic management, non-profit and/or corporate leadership, and financial stewardship to propel the organization toward it's ambitious goals.
The President/CEO reports to the Board of Directors and will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the agency's staff, programs, expansion, and execution of its mission. This is a full-time, exempt position.
- Ensure ongoing local programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation, and consistent quality of finance and administration, fundraising, communications, and systems
- Establish an employee-oriented workplace culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention, development and high performance.
- Recommend resources and timeliness needed to achieve the agency’s overall strategic goals
- Develop, maintain, and support a strong Board of Directors and serve as ex-officio of each committee
- Assist the Board of Directors in developing and implementing board policies
- Seek and build Board of Directors’ involvement with strategic direction for ongoing operations
- Actively engage and energize volunteers, board members, partnering organizations, and funders
- Effectively lead, coach, develop, and retain high-performance senior management team
- Assist senior management team in developing and implementing agency and program specific policies
- Provide oversight of annual agency wide budget with Finance Director and Program Managers
- Ensure fiduciary responsibility and sound financial management
- Provide the Board of Directors with timely and accurate reports and recommendations
- Ensure effective systems to track scaling progress, and regularly evaluate program components to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the board, funders, and other constituents
- Expand local revenue generating and fundraising activities to support existing programs and operations
- Deepen and refine all aspects of communications from web presence to external relations with goal of creating a stronger brand
- Build partnerships and establish relationships with funders, political, and community leaders
- Serve as lead spokesperson and promote agency’s mission in all interactions throughout the community
POSITION ANCILLARY DUTIES:
- Represent the agency by attending other not-for-profit fundraising events throughout the community
- Perform other duties as assigned by Board of Directors
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters Degree in Social Services, Business, or Human Services preferred
- Minimum five years of Not-for-Profit Director experience preferred
- Proven leadership, coaching, and relationship management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; persuasive and passionate communicator
- Excellent interpersonal and multi-disciplinary project skills
- Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience to engage a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to cultivate board member relationships and facilitate board development as needed
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
- Possess passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, be mission-driven and self-directed
