Position Title: President CEO

Reports to: Board of Trustees

Role Summary:

The President/CEO is responsible for providing overall leadership, guidance, and direction for Easter Seals Goodwill ND Inc. Working with the team, the incumbent leads the senior leadership team in creating and implementing a shared vision for the organization, fostering an environment that empowers team members to advance the organization in culture, capability, processes, and impact. This includes developing strategic plans and identifying new growth opportunities. The incumbent also builds high-level partnerships and leads major initiatives, managing both external and internal affairs within ESGWND policies, laws, and regulations.

Qualifications/Basic Position Requirements:
  • A master's degree in business, healthcare, or related field.
  • At least 10+ years of executive leadership experience in service organizations such as retail, e-commerce, developmental disability, healthcare, or education.
  • Strong skills in organization, supervision, management, leadership, and communication (oral and written).
  • Working knowledge of Windows environment, including Internet and intranet technology, email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
Scope of Responsibility:

The President/CEO consults with the Board on policy changes, strategic direction, legal issues, and financial plans. Demonstrates ability to:

  • Lead problem-solving and direct work of others.
  • Support and communicate policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
  • Translate organizational vision into specific goals and objectives.
  • Recommend actions and develop projects to advance ESGWND's mission.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and external agencies, and prepare presentations.
  • Develop and coordinate services based on community needs.
  • Use interpersonal skills tactfully and diplomatically.
  • Handle crises promptly and maintain confidentiality.
Core Accountabilities:
  • Leadership: Motivate and energize the organization, foster a culture aligned with ESGWND's mission and values, and model integrity and respect.
  • Strategy: Collaborate with the Board on strategic planning, develop goals, and lead implementation.
  • Board Governance: Maintain communication, support, and provide updates to the Board; facilitate decision-making.
  • People Management: Develop staff, oversee policies, ensure resource efficiency, and promote staff development and engagement.
  • Operating Measures: Ensure financial health, monitor quality and client satisfaction, and maintain compliance with standards and regulations.
  • External Relationships: Engage positively with stakeholders, promote services, and maintain professional relationships with community and government entities.
Working Environment:

Involves potential exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues; appropriate protective measures are required.

Physical Requirements:

Roles are sedentary, involving sitting most of the time, with some walking or standing as needed. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
