Job summary

FIND Food Bank is seeking a President & CEO to guide the organization’s mission in Indio, CA. The role focuses on strategy, fundraising, advocacy, and strong community partnerships to end hunger.

For more than four decades, FIND Food Bank has served as a cornerstone of hunger relief throughout California's desert region. What began in 1983 as a grassroots volunteer effort has grown into the region's leading hunger-relief organization, serving an average of 125,000 people each month across more than 10,000 square miles. FIND advances a comprehensive mission to end hunger today, tomorrow, and for a lifetime by providing nutritious food while addressing the broader conditions that contribute to food insecurity through outreach, education, advocacy, workforce development, and community partnerships.

FIND distributes more than 23 million pounds of food annually through community partners, mobile markets, homebound delivery programs, senior nutrition initiatives, migrant farmworker programs, and emergency response efforts. Its reach is made possible through 155 distribution sites, nearly 100 nonprofit partners, 50 full-time staff members, and approximately 2,000 registered volunteers. The next President & CEO will join FIND at a defining moment in its history. The Board seeks a thoughtful and forward-looking leader who will honor FIND's mission, culture, and valued relationships while guiding its continued evolution in response to increasing demand, shifting public policies, changing government funding, and the need to diversify revenue.

Serving as FIND's chief strategist, ambassador, and culture leader, the President & CEO will provide organizational direction, oversee financial and operational performance, and advance fundraising, advocacy, and community engagement. Working in close partnership with the Board and leadership team, this executive will cultivate donors, volunteers, elected officials, corporate and foundation partners, and community organizations while strengthening FIND's regional and statewide visibility. The CEO will empower staff to manage day-to-day operations while dedicating significant attention to philanthropy, strategic partnerships, public advocacy, and relationships that expand FIND's impact.

The ideal candidate will be a confident yet humble and highly collaborative executive who leads with authenticity, sound judgment, and a deep commitment to service. Strong candidates will bring leadership experience in a complex nonprofit, public-sector, human services, healthcare, food banking, community development, or other mission-driven organization, along with demonstrated strengths in philanthropy, strategic planning, financial oversight, community engagement and team leadership. A bachelor's degree is required, and an advanced degree is preferred. Spanish-language proficiency and experience working within diverse communities are also preferred.

FIND Food Bank offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. The salary range is $200,000 to $250,000, commensurate with experience.
