BankIn Minnesota (BankIn MN) is a dynamic trade association dedicated to advancing the interests of community banks throughout the state. BankIn MN serves and elevates Minnesota's community banks through strategic connections, professional development, and a unified voice, empowering them to grow and innovate.

Position Overview:

BankIn MN is seeking a visionary and strategic President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organization into its next chapter of growth and impact. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring exceptional collaboration, financial acumen, and deep knowledge of community banking.

The President/CEO will serve as the primary spokesperson and representative for Minnesota's community banks, providing leadership across all areas of the association, including policy advocacy, membership engagement, public relations, education programs, financial management, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for BankIn MN, its members, and affiliated entities.
  • Guide the Board of Directors in achieving the mission and objectives of the organization.
  • Manage and develop a team of approximately 12 employees.

Membership & Programs

  • Lead membership recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Oversee development and distribution of educational programs, webinars, and member publications.
  • Direct planning, promotion, and execution of annual events, including the Annual Convention, CEO Network, and Ag Conference.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partners, associate members, and sponsors.

Advocacy & Public Relations

  • Serve as the primary liaison to state and federal legislators, regulatory agencies, and media outlets.
  • Lead grassroots advocacy efforts in coordination with national and state partners.
  • Act as the voice of Minnesota's community banks on public policy and regulatory issues.

Financial & Business Oversight

  • Maintain full financial responsibility for BankIn MN and its related entities, including Community Bankers Financial Services LLC.
  • Oversee partner agreements, business operations, and related association initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in banking, financial management, or bank operations, preferably in an executive role.
  • Strong working knowledge of community banking operations, compliance, marketing, technology, and education.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams, manage complex projects, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills.
  • Experience working with boards, committees, regulatory agencies, and advocacy groups.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout Minnesota.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
