Job description

The President provides visionary and strategic leadership for our client, a fully online public university within a statewide higher education system. Appointed by the system's governing board and reporting to the system chancellor, the President is accountable for advancing the institution's mission, academic quality, financial sustainability, and long-term growth. This executive serves as the university's chief spokesperson, representing our client to students, faculty, staff, alumni, government leaders, community partners, and other stakeholders. The role requires a collaborative, mission-driven leader who can articulate a compelling vision and build support for institutional priorities.

The President leads an organization of more than 500 faculty members and 200 staff members while overseeing an approximately $84 million operating budget. Key responsibilities include strengthening academic programs, supporting student success, fostering innovation in online education, and ensuring effective operational and financial management. The President works closely with system leadership and governance bodies to align the institution's strategy with broader system goals. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong executive leadership, communication skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to accessible, high-quality higher education.
