About The Role

We are seeking an accomplished and commercially driven President to lead the overall business performance, strategic growth, and operational execution of a diversified Construction & Real Estate organization.

The President will provide executive leadership across construction, real estate development, property investment, business development, project delivery, financial performance, and organizational growth.

This individual will be responsible for translating the Board's strategic vision into measurable business results, driving revenue and profitability, expanding the company's development pipeline, and ensuring operational excellence across the organization.

The ideal candidate will be a proven senior executive with extensive experience in construction, real estate development, property investment, infrastructure, engineering, or related sectors, and a demonstrated track record of managing large-scale operations and P&L responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Executive Leadership & Strategy Lead the company's overall business operations and execution of its strategic objectives. Translate the Board's vision into clear annual and long-term business plans. Identify opportunities for expansion, diversification, acquisitions, partnerships, and new markets. Establish organizational KPIs and ensure accountability across the leadership team. Provide regular performance updates, strategic recommendations, and forecasts to the Board.
  • P&L & Commercial Performance Assume overall responsibility for revenue, profitability, cash flow, and P&L performance. Drive sustainable growth while maintaining strong financial discipline. Oversee annual budgets, forecasts, capital expenditure, and resource allocation. Improve operating margins, project profitability, working capital, and return on investment. Work closely with Finance and senior leadership on capital allocation and investment decisions.
  • Construction Operations Provide executive oversight of the company's construction portfolio and major projects. Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within approved budgets. Strengthen project governance, cost management, procurement, contracting, and risk controls. Monitor the performance of contractors, consultants, suppliers, and project partners. Ensure compliance with construction, environmental, health & safety, and quality requirements.
  • Real Estate Development Lead the company's real estate development strategy and development pipeline. Oversee land acquisition, feasibility, financing, planning, approvals, development, construction, sales, leasing, and asset disposition. Evaluate new development opportunities and investment proposals. Maximize the commercial value of the company's property portfolio. Develop relationships with investors, developers, landowners, financial institutions, brokers, and strategic partners.
  • Business Development Drive new business generation and expansion of the company's market presence. Develop relationships with major corporate, institutional, government, and private-sector clients. Lead negotiations for major contracts, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and development agreements. Identify new revenue streams and opportunities for business diversification. Strengthen the company's competitive position and market reputation.
  • Investment & Capital Allocation Evaluate major property acquisitions, development projects, investments and strategic opportunities. Ensure investment decisions are aligned with risk appetite and expected returns. Work with financial institutions, investors, and partners to secure appropriate financing. Monitor the performance and value creation of major investments and assets.
  • Governance & Risk Management Ensure strong governance and accountability across business units, projects, subsidiaries, and joint ventures. Establish effective enterprise and project risk-management frameworks. Oversee legal, regulatory, contractual, financial, and operational risks. Maintain appropriate internal controls and compliance standards.
  • Leadership & Talent Lead and develop a high-performing executive leadership team. Establish a culture of accountability, performance, innovation, safety, and operational excellence. Strengthen organizational capabilities to support future growth. Develop succession plans for key leadership positions. Ensure effective collaboration between construction, development, finance, commercial, legal, sales, and operations functions.
  • Stakeholder & Government Relations Serve as a senior representative of the company with government authorities, investors, lenders, clients, partners, regulators, and industry stakeholders. Build and maintain strategic relationships with key government and regulatory institutions. Represent the organization at major industry, investment, and business forums.

Candidate Profile
Must-Have Experience
  • 15+ years of senior leadership experience in construction, real estate, property development, infrastructure, engineering, or a closely related sector.
  • Previous experience as President, CEO, Managing Director, COO, Executive Director, Business Unit President, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience managing a significant P&L and large multidisciplinary organization.
  • Strong track record in construction operations and/or real estate development.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, profitability, operational improvement, and business expansion.
  • Strong commercial, financial, investment, and project-management capabilities.
  • Experience managing large-scale projects, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and strategic partners.
  • Strong experience dealing with Boards, investors, banks, government authorities, and major clients.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience leading a diversified construction and real estate group.
  • Exposure to residential, commercial, industrial, mixed-use, hospitality, infrastructure, or large-scale urban-development projects.
  • Experience with joint ventures, PPPs, acquisitions, institutional investment, or private equity.
  • Experience managing businesses through significant growth, transformation, restructuring, or expansion.
  • International or multi-country experience is an advantage.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • MBA or relevant Master's degree preferred.
