Hampden-Sydney College (H-SC) seeks a dynamic leader committed to its mission "to form good men and good citizens in an atmosphere of sound learning" to serve as its 26th President. H-SC is one of the nation's oldest institutions of higher education, and it is one of only four colleges in America dedicated to educating men. H-SC has built significant momentum through advances in academics, student success, philanthropy, facilities, and institutional visibility. The next President will have an extraordinary opportunity to build upon this foundation while leading the College through an evolving higher education landscape.

The President will serve as the chief steward of the College's mission, values, and traditions while articulating a compelling vision for the future. This leader will champion the enduring relevance of a liberal arts education, promote the distinctive value of the Hampden-Sydney experience, and ensure the College prepares students for a life of success and service in a rapidly changing world. Central to this work will be strengthening enrollment, enhancing the student experience, and communicating the measurable outcomes and lifelong impact of a Hampden-Sydney education.

As the College's principal ambassador, the President will cultivate strong relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni, trustees, parents, and friends of the institution. Building upon a period of exceptional fundraising success, the next leader will further expand philanthropic support, deepen alumni engagement, and secure the resources necessary to advance strategic priorities. Success will require an energetic, visible, and accessible leader who listens attentively, communicates transparently, and inspires confidence across the campus community.
