Job summary

Natural Lands is seeking a Stewardship Assistant to support Preserve Managers at Bryn Coed and Binky Lee Preserves in Chester Springs. You will help with land management, equipment operation, and general preserve maintenance to ensure safe, accessible preserves for the public.

The role requires handling physically demanding tasks, operating power equipment, and occasional weekend/evening work. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Must be highly motivated, responsible and dependable.
• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a good driving record.
• Willingness to perform subordinate tasks and work weekends/evenings/holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Mow meadow/lawn and maintain trails/roads with tractors.
• Trim around buildings and maintain equipment.
• Operate and maintain Natural Lands’ equipment (tractors, mowers, chainsaws).
• Assist Building Stewardship crew with repairs and renovations.
• Restore degraded natural areas and monitor preserves.
