Qualifications

• Minimum 20 year(s) of experience in structural engineering and historic properties, or a BA/BS in structural engineering with 5+ years in the field.
• Professional engineer license is a bonus.
• Experience with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat.
• BlueBeam or other design software.

Responsibilities

• Support preservation needs of MAPR park assets on an as-needed basis.
• Conduct structural inspections of MAPR structures to assess condition and probable failure causes.
• Recommend treatments aligned with the Secretary of the Interior's Guidelines for Historic Properties.
• Support park compliance on projects affecting historic properties.
• Review engineering reports and plans related to MAPR historic properties.
