Preschool Teacher- St. Gerard Majella School is seeking a joyful Catholic who feels called to serve at our school in the 2025-2026 school year. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that support the spiritual, cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth of preschool-aged children.
Integrate Catholic teachings and values into daily activities, prayer, and classroom culture.
Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, kindness, and a love for learning.
Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and materials to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.
Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents and administration.
Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and administration to align with school-wide goals and standards.
Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety guidelines.
Participate in faculty meetings, school events, professional development opportunities, and faith-based activities as required by the Archdiocese.
Uphold and model the mission and philosophy of St. Gerard Majella and the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
Missouri state teaching certification appropriate for early childhood or preschool instruction.
Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting is preferred.
Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred; must be willing to support and model the Catholic faith.
Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
Commitment to professional growth and ongoing faith formation.
Ability to pass all required background checks and comply with Archdiocesan Safe Environment policies.
