We're seeking qualified applicants for the part-time Preschool Teacher (Substitute) position. The Preschool Teacher (Substitute) position provides learning activities for preschool children, establishes and enforces basic rules to maintain classroom order, and promotes physical, mental, and social development through games, arts, crafts, music, and field trips. A successful candidate will have great interpersonal skills and the ability to discuss the development of children with parents and plan assignments for Preschool Aides. Our team embraces each child's uniqueness, including all individual skills or needs.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; six (6) months programmatic experience with children or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Complete education and experience requirements to meet Virginia State Teacher certification for the position. Must be physically able to keep up with participants and lift 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
Must undergo criminal background and Child Protective Services (CPS) background checks. You must obtain certification in CPR and First Aid within 30 days of being hired. Pass the TB test within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter. Have or take OSHA (Bloodborne pathogens) training within 30 days of hire. An annual sworn disclosure statement or affirmation must be completed, disclosing any criminal convictions or pending criminal charges.
