Job summary

Wilcannia Central School is seeking a qualified preschool teacher to deliver a play-based and intentional preschool program for students from birth to early childhood. The role is part of the Teaching Service with strong community engagement, located in regional NSW along the Darling River.

Qualifications

• Approval to teach preschool with ACECQA approved qualification and ability to implement NQF and NQS.
• Commitment to child safety, wellbeing and rights of all children.
• Ability to plan and implement preschool programs based on the EYLF, with play-based and intentional teaching approaches.
• Proven ability to build positive relationships with students and families from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teach preschool within the Connected Communities school model.
• Plan and deliver a preschool program aligned with EYLF and age-appropriate pedagogy.
• Engage with families and the community to support student learning.
• Collaborate with school teams and external agencies to support transitions to primary school.
