Job summary

Future Pathways Academy seeks a Preschool Teacher to lead an engaging, play-based classroom for children ages 3–4 in Oregon. You will plan developmentally appropriate learning experiences, foster social-emotional growth, and partner with families to support each child’s development.

You will collaborate with fellow educators to maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment, follow licensing requirements, and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance practice.

Qualifications

• Experience working with preschool-aged children and knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in classroom activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with state requirements.
• Foster social-emotional growth through relationship-based practices and positive guidance.
• Differentiate instruction to meet developmental needs of individual children.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to Teacher's Aides.
• Observe, assess, and document children's progress and communicate with families.
• Partner with families through open communication and support of each child's growth.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
• Maintain a safe, healthy learning environment in accordance with licensing requirements.
