Carolina Construction seeks a Preschool Teacher to plan and implement a play-based curriculum for children aged 3–4 in a nurturing classroom in Opelika, AL. You will collaborate with co-teachers, families, and leadership to deliver inclusive, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

The role requires 1–2 years of preschool experience, a compatible degree (or CDA), and active certifications (CPR/First Aid). Compliance with DHR and CACFP guidelines is essential.

Competenze

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; CDA credential accepted in lieu of degree with relevant experience
• Minimum of 1–2 years of preschool-age experience in licensed setting
• Must pass DHR & ABI/FBI background check with clear result
• CPR & First Aid certification required (Pediatric)
• Must complete required training within 30 days of hire and maintain annual training
• Knowledge of Alabama DHR licensing standards preferred; CACFP knowledge a plus

• Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum for ages 3–4
• Design weekly and monthly lesson plans incorporating literacy, math, science, social studies, art, music, and motor skills
• Observe, document, and assess children's development across domains
• Maintain safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
• Build strong partnerships with families through regular communication and conferences
• Ensure compliance with DHR, Health Department, and CACFP guidelines
• Conduct daily health checks and oversee health/safety procedures
• Collaborate with co-teachers and program staff to ensure quality learning experiences
