Sprout Childcare is seeking a dedicated Pre-School teacher to reinforce the ELM curriculum and support a cohesive three-teacher team. You will guide classroom activities, interact with families, and ensure safety, hygiene, and developmentally appropriate practices.

The role emphasizes collaboration, ongoing professional development, and a commitment to fostering cognitive, social, and emotional growth in young learners within a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of early childhood experience preferred.
• Be lead teacher certified or willing to pursue certification.
• High energy and ability to work well with staff, children and parents, fostering teamwork.
• Strong understanding of child development and social-emotional growth.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement The ELM curriculum.
• Lead by example and coach the teaching team to success.
• Plan age-appropriate activities to engage children and support growth.
• Maintain regular communication with parents via discussions, progress reports, and conferences.
• Ensure center policies and state regulations are followed.
• Maintain a healthy classroom environment with hygiene and safety.
• Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to follow plans and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records and files.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.
