Georgia Kids Academy in Hoschton, GA is seeking a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support the classroom team and create a safe, engaging environment for young children. You will help with daily activities, supervise actively, and assist with curriculum implementation to bring lessons to life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Previous experience with young children in childcare, preschool, or similar setting preferred.
• Willingness to learn state licensing and compliance requirements; CPR/First Aid where required; background check.
• Must be at least 18 years of age; strong communication and collaboration with families and team.

Responsibilities

• Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for all children.
• Support daily activities and curriculum implementation alongside the lead teacher.
• Provide active supervision, ensuring safety and compliance with required ratios.
• Support children’s development through positive guidance, interaction, and play.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)required. Coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Previousexperience working with young children in a childcare, preschool, or similar setting preferred.
• Basic understanding of classroom procedures and willingness to learn state licensing and compliance requirements.
• Must meet all state-specific education, certification (including CPR/First Aid, whererequired), licensing, and regulatory requirements, including the ability to pass a background check and complete ongoing professional development.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with children, families, and team members.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
