Kids 'R' Kids Learning Academy #33 – Centerville in Snellville, GA is seeking an Assistant Georgia Pre-K Teacher. The role supports the Lead Teacher in delivering the Georgia Pre-K curriculum and daily lesson plans, fostering social and cognitive development in a nurturing classroom.

Qualifications include meeting Georgia Pre-K requirements and being enrolled in a relevant credential program. The program offers structured growth, a collaborative team, and a 3-Star Quality Rating.

Qualifications

• Must meet Georgia Pre-K Assistant Teacher requirements.
• Eligible for one of the listed credentials (CDA, TCC, or degree) or actively enrolled in an approved program.
• Must be at least 18 years old; able to pass Bright from the Start background check; CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Georgia Pre-K Teacher in implementing the Georgia Pre-K curriculum and daily lesson plans.
• Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
• Supervise children during classroom activities, playground time, meals, and transitions.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Observe and document children's progress as directed by the Lead Teacher.
• Ensure compliance with all Bright from the Start, Georgia Pre-K, and Kids 'R' Kids policies and procedures.

$16.00 – $18.00 per hour (based on education, credentials, and experience)

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet Georgia Pre-K Assistant Teacher requirements and possess one of the following:

• Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential; OR
• Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) in Early Childhood Education; OR
• Associate Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field; OR
• Be actively enrolled in an approved program leading to one of the above credentials.

Additional Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass the Bright from the Start comprehensive background check.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a Georgia Pre-K classroom.
• Knowledge of GELDS (Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards).
• Experience with classroom documentation and child assessments.
