Job summary

The Dimock Center is seeking a Preschool Teacher for the Foundations for Learning program to create a safe, nurturing classroom where preschoolers develop social‑emotional, physical, and cognitive skills.

You will plan curriculum to MA standards, apply Pyramid Model strategies, collaborate with families and staff, supervise learners, and document progress while participating in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• MA EEC Teacher Certification is required.
• CDA credential or equivalent coursework focused on infant and toddler development for Early Head Start eligibility.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field per Head Start regulations.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, developmentally appropriate learning environment for preschool‑aged children.
• Plan and implement curriculum aligned with MA Early Learning Standards and program guidelines.
• Incorporate Pyramid Model and positive behavior support in routines.
• Conduct ongoing observations and developmental assessments to individualize instruction.
• Build strong partnerships with families through regular communication and home learning activities.
• Maintain active supervision and ensure children's safety at all times.
• Document development and program progress accurately.
