Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a qualified Teacher for the CCLC. The role focuses on the physical, emotional and developmental care of enrolled children and delivering an educational program aligned with the CCLC philosophy and goals.

You will create a safe, nurturing classroom, implement the Creative Curriculum, and coordinate with families while overseeing staff and ensuring safety and documentation throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in early childhood education or CDA/group teacher approval from DCF (required).
• 3 years experience teaching children under 5 years old.
• Must be able to use a computer with basic proficiency.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Implement the Creative Curriculum to fit each child's needs.
• Ensure child safety: know the number and location of children.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and safety standards.
• Communicate with parents to support child care and education.
