Job summary

Child Care Resources Inc. through the Augustana Early Learning Center in Colorado seeks a Lead Preschool Teacher who is nurturing, energetic and passionate about guiding preschoolers in a safe, stimulating environment.

You will assist in developing a creative curriculum, nurture each child's well-being, document progress for families, and collaborate with a supportive team to meet Colorado licensing standards and a high standard of care.

Qualifications

• This position requires the physical ability to engage with children at their level, including kneeling, squatting, bending and sitting on the ground.
• Able to work with children in classroom and outdoor playground settings.
• Comfortable soothing children new to group care and comforting them when crying.
• Regular attendance is essential for this position.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs.
• Have completed Lead Teacher coursework or are currently working toward completing it.

• Familiar with Colorado licensing rules and regulations for Child Care Centers.

The Augustana Early Learning Center (the Center) is an outreach ministry of the Augustana Lutheran Church (the Church) that welcomes all children regardless of faith, culture or ethnicity. The Center provides care for children in a clean, safe and nurturing environment that promotes learning and enhances the child's well-being. We are seeking another Lead Preschool teacher to support one of our two preschool room (alongside our fantastic current teachers). The ideal candidate is nurturing, energetic and passionate about working with preschool-age children!

What You'll Do

Requirements

• This position requires the physical ability to engage with children at their level. This includes assuming low postures such as kneeling, squatting, bending, stooping, and sitting on the ground.
• Able to work with the children in the classroom setting and outdoors on the playground
• Comfortable with soothing children who may be new to group care/comfort children when crying
• Regular attendance is essential for this position.
• Ability to lift 35lbs.
• Have successfully completed all coursework to qualify as a Lead Teacher, or be currently working towards completing that coursework.
