Job summary

Shining Stars Academy is a privately owned, family-oriented preschool seeking a passionate and reliable teacher assistant to join our team. If you love working with ages 0 to 5 years old, value consistency, and want to be part of a supportive, positive school culture, we would love to meet you!

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm. Pay: $15-$17 per hour based on experience, education, and certifications.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Experience in childcare or early childhood required.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing, clean, and engaging learning environment.
• Support Lead Teacher and ensure classroom daily routines are followed.
• Help implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Communicate professionally with families at drop-off and pick-up.
• Document daily activities and child progress for parents.
• Work collaboratively with co-teachers.
• Assist with diapering, pottying, cleaning, meal prep, and classroom care.
• Participate in ongoing training and staff meetings.
