Job summary

TOTS- These Our Treasures, Inc., part of The Fedcap Group, seeks a Teacher Assistant for a 12-month preschool program in Bronx, NY. You will support the classroom teacher, supervise students, and help with daily activities and routines.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; two years’ experience with children preferred; NYS Level I Teacher Assistant Certification is desirable. Compensation ranges from $17.00 to $22.00 per hour. EEO employer.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED is required or preferred.
• Two (2) years practical experience working with children is preferred.
• Level I NYS Teacher Assistant Certification.

Responsibilities

• Aid the transfer of children to and from buses daily and supervise students.
• Check children on arrival for health and document issues.
• Assist in designing developmentally appropriate activities with the teacher.
• Prepare the classroom for daily activities and maintain cleanliness.
• Support individual students according to IEP and assist during meals.

Education
