Job summary

Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) is seeking Preschool Teacher Assistants to support teachers in creating a positive, nurturing classroom environment. Responsibilities include supervising children, assisting with setup and curriculum implementation, and helping maintain portfolios and documentation.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with CDA or Oregon Registry steps, and coursework in early childhood development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Oregon Registry steps apply.
• Preschool CDA certificate within 6 months from date of hire.
• Experience or coursework in early childhood development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teacher in maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment.
• Supervise children indoors and outdoors with positive guidance.
• Assist with classroom setup, organization, and material inventories.
• Support implementation of age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities.
• Maintain children’s portfolios and documentation with teacher input.
