Job summary

West Metro Chamber is hiring a Preschool Teacher Assistant (Early Childhood Education) to support daily activities and program delivery. You will help prepare and implement lessons, maintain a safe play and learning space, and engage with children and their families in the afternoon shifts.

The role is part-time with benefits for Foothills recreation staff, and requires background checks and CPR/First Aid training. Start date is immediate, with a deadline of 9/30/2026.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must obtain CPR/First Aid and Universal Precautions Training.
• Must pass TRAILS background check and FBI fingerprint background check.
• Must be committed to being a positive role model with youth.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily preparation and implementation of program activities.
• Maintain a safe recreational and learning environment for children.
• Work directly with children and parents on a daily basis.
• Afternoons (3pm-6pm), Monday through Friday, with schedule variance.

Pay Rate: $17.50/hour

As the Preschool Teacher Assistant, you would be responsible for assisting with daily preparation and implementation of program activities and maintaining a safe recreational and learning environment for the children. This position will work directly with children and parents on a daily basis. Days can vary between M-F in the afternoons (3pm-6pm).

Required Experience

• Be at least 16 years of age at the time of application.
• Be able to obtain CPR/First Aid and Universal Precautions Training.
