Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with Oregon Registry Step < 8 or equivalent.
• Preschool CDA certificate within 6 months from date of hire.
• 1-year Oregon community college certificate in early childhood development.
• Enrollment in an associate or bachelor’s program in ECE or child development within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Support the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe, positive learning environment.
• Supervise children indoors and outdoors with positive guidance.
• Assist with classroom setup, organization, and materials inventory.
• Support implementation of individualized curriculum and daily activities.
• Communicate regularly with the teacher about children’s health, behavior, and development.
• Promote healthy practices related to nutrition, wellness, and development.
