Job summary
Children’s Choice Preschool in San Diego County is seeking a dedicated Preschool Teacher Aide/Driver. You will assist the Lead Teacher with daily activities, support curriculum implementation, and transport children safely to designated locations.
The ideal candidate has ECE units, a patient demeanor, and strong communication skills to interact with parents and staff. Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record are required; opportunities for advancement exist.
Qualifications
- 12 Early Childhood Education units, including ECD; Family & Community; Infant & Toddler; and related classes.
- 1-2 years of experience with preschool-age children preferred.
- Must have passion, patience, and excellent communication.
Responsibilities
- Assist Lead Teacher with curriculum activities (Zoo-phonics).
- Safely transport children per policies and laws.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Attend 1-3 trainings monthly after hours.
- Keep classrooms and vehicles clean and organized.
- Communicate with parents regarding child progress empathetically.
- Supervise children during activities, outings, and transport.
- Support DRDP evaluations and classroom documentation.
